My mom loves quick recipes. Everything that doesn’t need a lot of fuss is her best friend in the kitchen, so this recipe is one of them. If you don’t like to spend time in the kitchen, but you still want something delicious homemade, these giant rum and chocolate balls are the perfect dessert for you. You only need a few ingredients and no more than 15 minutes to prepare something that might become your favourite chocolate dessert.

Crumble your biscuits and the peanuts until you obtain a fine dust. I did that with my blender and it worked just fine, but if it becomes too sticky give it a gentle toss and it will become fine and dusty. Keep 3-4 tbsp of the biscuit dust for the last step and mix the rest together.

In a saucepan melt the butter and add the cocoa, the sugar, the essence and the milk and mix very well. When it begins to boil remove from the fire and let it cool for 5 minutes.

Add the butter and cocoa mixture on top of the biscuits and peanuts and mix with your hands until you obtain a paste that you can mold into balls. Don't be scared that it's too soft, it will harden in the refrigerator.

Form balls and coat with biscuit crumbles or with coconut. Let it set in the refrigerator for 30 min.

I am Adriana and I love food, as you can probably see from what I cook. I like to bake and I like to experiment with new tastes, and my 2016 resolution is to try to cook healthy and special meals every day.
