Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Do you know those kind of dishes that you just cannot stop eating? Yes, this is one of those. Creamy, cheesy, full of garlic, and SHRIMPS. I don’t know about you, but I love them, I would eat the every day. That perfect crunchiness and beautiful colour just make me go crazy. In a good way, by the way. So, yes, I finally made them at home, and even if they are very easy to make, it takes a little practice until you learn what is the perfect ratio of cream-garlic-shrimp that will satisfy your taste. Mine says “enough garlic, but no too much, not a lot of sauce, but enough parmesan”, so here you will see how I love to make this 15 minutes dish and my continous battle with designing around the plate. That is the most fun part of the day, I have to admit it!

Bring water to boil in a pan and salt it generously. Add the tagliatelle in the water and cook according to the instructions from the pack, about 10 minutes.

Lay down your shrimps, in a single layer, on a plate and pat dry. Drizzle garlic salt over them and let them rest until you heat 2 tbsp of butter in a pan. Fry on each side for 2-3 minutes, and at last, crush 1 clove of garlic over them and fry to release the fragrance, 1 more minute.

Remove the shrimps from the pan, but don't clean it. Melt another spoon of butter in the same pan, add the cooking cream and let it bubble. Mix with another clove of garlic, parmesan and garlic salt.

Drain the pasta, reserving 1/3 cup. Bring the pasta to the pan, mix with sauce and parsley. If you notice that the sauce is too thick add water from the reserved liquid, a little bit at a time. Add the shrimps to the pan and toss it together with the creamy tagliatelle. And now pour yourself a glass of white wine and enjoy!

I am Adriana and I love food, as you can probably see from what I cook. I like to bake and I like to experiment with new tastes, and my 2016 resolution is to try to cook healthy and special meals every day.
